Blizzard’s attempt to snag a trademark for its upcoming shooter Overwatch has gone a bit awry. Turns out the US Patent Office was on overwatch for stuff with the same name, and put up a roadblock when it discovered that a paintball system had filed for ‘Overwatch’ before the Warcraft folk got there.
I did a tiny bit of contract work on the iPhone Overwatch.

I’m not going to lie, it’s a real possibility.
A refreshingly honest piece from the developers of Dark Sky, who just sold sold a piece of their company. I wish them the best — I love Dark Sky the app and I use their API in Read Me The Weather.

I've received weekly emails of "so what do you do when Apple kills the mini?" If you bought a Mac mini this day in 2007, you could have used it for 7 years so far. Buy one today, you can use it for 7 years from now. Apple will not come and take away your server.
An excellent salute to everyone's favorite tiny computer.
